Terms and Conditions

The Garland Apartments - Terms and Conditions

All bookings must be registered to an Adult over the age of 21 and the registered Guest must be present at the Property with other approved Guests for the full duration of the stay. At check-in the registered Guest must sign a Registration Form and provide a valid credit card (Mastercard or Visa) for a $1,000 Security deposit. The Registration form will be kept on file as security and will be destroyed within 30 days after departure.

Keys will not be issued until the Security Deposit has been taken, the Registration Form signed and the Tariff paid in full.

To secure a Reservation a 30% deposit of the total Tariff is payable at the time of booking. The balance of accommodation is payable 1 month prior to arrival for Xmas and Holiday bookings and 14 days prior to arrival for Low Season bookings.

A Credit Card surcharge of 1.4% will be charged for all bookings paid for by either Mastercard or Visa.

In the event of a Guest cancelling a booking a refund of the deposit less 15% of the first weeks rent will only be made if more than 30 days’ notice is given for a booking in the High or Mid season and 1 night accommodation fee will be charged if less than 14 days’ notice for a booking in the Low season and the Apartment is re-let for the total period. If the Apartment is not re-let for the total period all monies paid are forfeited.

If any deposit or final payment is not received by the due date, The Garland Apartments reserves the right to cancel the booking and any monies paid will be forfeited.

In the event of a “no show” all monies paid will be forfeited.

There is no refund for early departure.

Tariffs are reviewed annually and are subject to change without notice.

Changes to bookings are at the discretion of the Management.

The Guest will be responsible for any damage, breakages and any loss incurred to the Apartment or Body Corporate Property during the term of the occupancy.

The Apartment must not be used for any unlawful purpose.

The Apartment must be kept clean and all garbage removed on departure otherwise it will attract an additional cleaning charge.

At no time during the occupancy by the Guest shall the number of persons residing overnight exceed the number of beds.

Guests must park their cars in the allocated car space. There is a Visitors car park available for your Visitors, please contact Reception for allocation.

No animals or pets are to be brought onto the premises.

Weddings and social events are not permitted.

The by-laws, rules and regulations of the complex and any reasonable direction of the Manager must be complied with. If a Guest fails to comply after a warning from the Manager the Guest must vacate the premises immediately.

The Garland is a Non Smoking Building. Queensland Laws make it an offence to smoke in the Apartments and all Common Areas (Smoking and Smoking Products Act 1998. Sec 26R) This Rule is strictly enforced.
